On July 4h one of the hottest
suns in recent years beamed down
on the largest crowds ever to attend
an Ecusta picnic. An estimated
crowd of 6,000 was on hand at
Camp Sapphire for the sports
events, contests and the formal
program. The lake and the shade
trees were naturally the most
sought-after spots
Even with the extremely warm
weather the large crowd of Ecus-
tans, their families and invited
guests ate popcorn and ice cream,
drank cool lemonade, and took in
