Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Tipton (Pulp Mill)
have announced the arrival of Andrew Stephen
on April 3, 1950. Young Andy was born at the
Pisgah Sanitorium and Hospital in West Ashe
ville, weighing ten pounds.
It’s twins for the Marshall Loftis’ (Fibre Ware
house). Arriving on their father’s birthday, April
I6th, Claudia Ann and Charles Anthony were born
at the local hospital. Claudia weighed lyj lbs. and
Charles tipped the scales at GVa lbs.
Sharon Elaine has arrived at the home of the
John B. Culvers (Finishing Dept.). The young
lady was born on April 22 nd weighing 7 lbs. 6
02. at the Transylvania Community Hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Byers (Main Office) are
the proud parents of Malinda Louise, who arrived
on May 1st at Patton Memorial Hospital. She
tipped the scales at 6 lbs. 5 oz.
It’s a girl for the Caskell K. Rhodes’ (Refin
ing Room). Carol Dean arrived at St. Joseph’s
Hospital in Asheville weighing 6 lbs. 3 oz. The
little lady was born on May 3rd.

(white), Tellico (the meaning has been lost).
Cowee (place of the deer clan), Cheoah (otter
place), and Cartoogechaye (new-settlement
place).

any type of artificial bait is permissable, and
also any type of live bait you might wish to use
except GOLD FISH or BALTIMORE MIN
NOWS. The reason for the ban on gold fish or
Baltimore Minnows is because these fish multi
ply so rapidly. Should any of these manage to get
loose in the Lake, in due time they would be
come a menace to our fishing at Sapphire.
