A HUNTING WE WILL GO And its a hunting that many Ecustans will go in the next few months. While many of us sit in the football stands and watch the football players hunt for the pigskin and also find ourselves hunt ing the little unpredictable tameless animal at times, many of our fellow-workers take to the woods in quest of bigger game. With this in mind and for the benefit of the game hunters, and not football games either, we have printed below part of the laws and regulations in regards to hunting wild game, in and around Western North Carolina. However, the writer would like to re mind you that due to the space required, the fol lowing printed regulations pertain to Transyl vania County and its surrounding area, for further information in regards to other sections of the state, see your local game warden or ask for a copy of "Abstract of Hunting and Trapping Reg ulations and Laws, State of North Carolina,” where you purchase your hunting licenses. We would also like to call to your attention, the Ten Commandments of Gun Safety which appears at the end of this article. Please read these and abide, and if you go with a hunter who does not practice these commandments, it's better that he goes hunting alone. Best of Luck and Happy Hunting.
