We wish to welcome Lily Mae White and Agnes Hilemon who are back with us again. Both were former employees in this department. Glad Sara Avery is back at work after being ill with mumps. Since last months’ news we have had two wed dings and one engagement. Florence Snyder be came the bride of Albert Bell on February 13th, in Greenville, S. C. A shower was given for Flor ence at her home and all from this department were invited. Many lovely gifts were received by the honoree. Ruby Dunn was married to Robert Rogers on March 30th at Taylorsville, N. C. We wish for both couples much happiness. Thelma Snyder is wearing a lovely diamond and plans to be married sometime this summer. Jack Wilson is the lucky man. Tulen Israel and Laura Pharr spent Saturday in Spindale. Among those having vacations this month were Lucille Clouse, Edna Oliver, Ruby Rigdon, Ruby Dunna and Myrtle Smith. John Smith was sup posed to have had a vacation, but worked on his new house instead. Eula Landreth went to Flori da for a week and came back with the beginning of a good tan. Phil Riddle purchased a new home in North Brevard and his spare time is divided into the planting of his lawn and the W. N. C. baseball workouts. Results—sore muscles. John Love reported for work one day last week wearing lipstick. Said he liked the flavor too. Lucille Dockens and Margaret Smith spent the week-end in Atlanta, Georgia. Turby is planning a big fishing season. Looks like he would invite Alvin Blythe to go with him sometime, but Alvin said the only place he was allowed to go was to work in his garden all sum mer. Uncle Ulys says, "GOLF is the game that turned the cows out of the pasture and let the bull in.” Shoivn celebraitng her fourth birthday is Bobbie Carole Tinsley, daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Charles M.
