BOWLING CHATTER At the first organizational meeting of Ecusta’s Bowling League for the 1951-1952 season, Jack Rhodes was elected the League President and Pete Eberle the Vice-President, with Fritz Merrell act ing Secretary and Treasurer. At this writing the number of teams participating are uncertain, how ever, eight teams are certain with a possibility of ten teams composing the team’s roster. A definite schedule will be adopted and league play will be gin as soon as possible. Our WNC Ten Pin bowling team under the co-leadership of Joe Lavell and Chris Rogers got off to a good start on Tuesday night, Sept. 4th by defeating the Brevard Municipal team 2 to 1. In their other two matches, as of Tuesday, Sept. 18, Ecusta lost to the Hendrix team 2 to 1 and de feated the Allen Transfer Five 2 to 1 for a record of five wins and four losses.
