MEDICAL CENTER
DEDICATED
Our Medical Center was dedicated on Novem
ber 9, with ceremonies in the Assembly room in
the new building. Members of the Transylvania
Medical Society were guests of honor. Members
of the Tenth District Medical Society, and em
ployees, their families and friends attended the
exercises.
Distinguished visitors included Dr. Edward C.
Holmblad, Managing Director and Treasurer of
the Industrial Medical Association; Dr. G. H.
Gehrmann, Medical Director of E. I. du Pont de
Nemours and Company; Dr. W. R. Berryhill,
Dean of the University of North Carolina School
of Medicine; and Dr. Haywood Taylor, Professor
of Toxicology, Duke University School of Medi
cine. It is regretted that Dr. George T. Harrell,
Professor of Medicine at the Bowman Gray
School of Medicine, was unable to attend.
