Holmes Dr. Holmblad, in his address, termed the Medi cal Center "an outstanding achievement for the com.munity, a credit to the State and the Na tion.” In speaking of the challenge of keeping people well, he referred to the contrast between failures in Machines and' Manpower. "When railroad accidents were tabulated, it was found that only 10 percent were due to ma chine failures, while 90 percent were attributed to manpower errors. "It is in these manpower failures that we are so keenly interested and have worked toward im- Droving these past 50 years. It is not only good business to keep our man power in the best physical condition, but it is something that requires the latest in equipment and medically trained personnel to carry out a comprehensive industrial medical health pro gram.” ^ In making the dedication and formal presenta tion of the Center to the Medical staff, Mr. Dixon said that he could find no more appropriate words than those enscribed on the plaque in the build ing, "The personnel and the facilities of this Med ical Center are pledged to the objectives of achieving through sound medical practices a healthier and happier life span for our workers in order that in useful and gainful activity, not only in their work but in their homes and com munities, they may become better examples and stronger defenders of the principles and way of life which make us a nation of free people.” The Medical Center staff includes: Mac Roy Gasque, M.
