"A" SHIFT FINISHING
By Helen McDaniels
With Spring so near every
one begins to think of their
well earned and much de
sired vacation. Quite a few
have already taken vacations
since Christmas. Frances
Smith and husband vaca
tioned in Florida and Cuba.
The Wilkie Twins journeying to Baltimore for
one week. Ernest Bradley stayed at home. Homer
Orr was also in Baltimore visiting his brother.
From all reports everyone had a wonderful time.
We liked to have been short a floorlady last
Monday. Lucy it must be fun getting out of bed
at 5 o’clock in the morning to make a phone call
to Brevard—telling someone to hunt a ride to
work that you are in Hendersonville. By the way
what goes with you over there? Is Inez so much
fun? Or is there some tall, dark and handsome
attractive? How about letting us in on the secret.
Last but not least we wish to welcome Howard
and Harvey Wilkie back with us after being sta
tioned for eighteen months in Friedburg, Ger
many. Sure is nice to see a pair of new faces on
A Shift.
