A family to be proud of is the one pictured above. The six youngsters are the children of Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Barton. Left to right: Jimmy, 1; Charles Wales, 4; Melba Jean, 3; Phyllis Ann, 8; Douglas William, 10; and Frances Elaine, 12. A. W. is in the Film Division’s Mc.inienc.nce Dept. MAINTENANCE By Bob Parker ! Ic looks as if most of our department is taking advan- i tage of the warm weather, ; from the look at the list of names on vacation this past month. The list goes like this: H. D. Lyday, R. L. Corn, W. G. Pace, F. W. Brown, L. N. Townsend, E. M. Bacon, D. E. Vick, B. B. Em ory, L. M. Davis, J. I. Lowery, E. J. Smith, E. L. Capps, L. M. McCall, R. E. Porter, R. C. Ruther ford, C. G. (Jr.) Pressley, and H. D. (Cappie) Carr. About one more month of vacationing like this past and we will have all taken our vacations. It seems that "Dink” wasted a two cent post card while he was on vacation. We know every one was glad to get the post card but he never got a phone call. It seems that "Nat” spent his week on the beach, judging from his complexion. He brought back some wonderful color shots of the beautiful scen- ery. We have only one new Papa in our group this month, and he is the proud (and I do mean proud) father of twin boys, and this proud Papa is, Bill Nicholson. Buck Roberts extends his thanks to everyone who has helped him recover from a big loss. Buck says he would like to thank everyone in Cellophane and Paper who helped him and his family. Falcon, Turkey, Swan Quarter, Bird Town, Pigeon Roost, Quail Roost and Ravensford are towns in North Carolina. Right: left to right, are shown Tom Stroupe, Jr., Jerry Willingham, Johnnie Stroup and Dickie Willingham with their string of 79 crappie and bass that they caught at Lake Thorpe recently. The boys said that their fathers, Tom Stroup of the Machine Room and Obie Willingham of the Power Department, caught a few of the fish. SHIFT CASTING By Thomas L. Hooper For this month we have had several events happen that are worth writing about. First, we would go to the hospital to congratulate Bill Murray and his wife on the fine boy they have. We all hope he will grow into a handsome man — looking like his mother, of course. While at the hospital we would go next door to see Buddy Hooper who had to leave us while we were on days. He said he appreciated the thoughtfulness of the fellows and the company while he was there. We were happy, however, to have him back on graveyard well again. Next we hear from the "brown boy”, meaning, of course, Jesse Ashe. Jesse took his vacation and went to the sunshine state of Florida. We under stand he had a wonderful time down there. John Thomas had some sun on his five days off as he took a trip to Myrtle Beach. From the looks of his tan, he must have enjoyed it. Dick Landreth spends most of his time trying to win a ball game. I believe his golfing has been forgotten. 28
