Bushey, president of Asheville-Biltmoro. According to Dr. Bishey, The Woman’s College w'ill .send throe of their faculty members to the campiis of Ashe- vlle-Biltmore this summer. Mis.s Edith Huffman will offer a course in Remedial reading In a 12 year program from June 20 to July 1. Mr. J. A. Smith w'ill give “Science in the 12 year program” from July 4 to July 15. And IMr. Her bert E. Vaughn, will teach Edu cational Gi idance from July 18 to July 29. Each course will be two weeks in duration with classes held everj' week day from 8:30 to 12:30 under the workshop plan. First on the program were two delightful piano numbers by Glen Thomas who played Rachmani noff’s Prelude in G Minor and a Waltz by Chopin. These -vv’ere fol lowed with To Spring by Grieg as played by Jrne Dougherty. Next the program shifted to a i. lighter thenio with the .singing of the “Harmoneer.s” accompanied by Virginia Davidson. The first of the series foitured Gus Coutlakis and Ruby Sargent in major I’oles in the t’tory of a man who killed for revenge, and then discovered that revenge was unneces.sary. Shull, botanist and soil expert, spoke on “The Preeent Condition of the World’s Soil” to members of the student body in an assembly program on Tuesday, March 22. Dr. Shull emphasized his points by illustrating the conditions of soil of several coi ntries.
