There was a good turnout for the occasion and it was termed a "com plete success*’. The tea was held in the Assembly Hall and guests v;ere served punch, cakes and cookies provided by Club members. The reception provided an excellent opportunity for the faculty, students, and parents to become better acquainted with each other. Congratulations to the Classical Coeds for a .job vrell done WORD FHOM UPSTAIRS One hundred and forty-six parking permits have been issued to stu dents and so far there have also been thirty-five tickets issued for unlav:ful parking. Mr. Jenkins v/culd like to remind students that all tuition is now due and payable. NEW CAIVIPUS ORGANISATIONS The Society for the Nonchalance of Better Students, (S.N.O.B.S,) The Charlatans, whose motto is; "United We Fall". The Tyre-somes, for campus auto motive enthusiasts. The Society for the Prevention of Faculty Delinquency. Membership in all these organ izations is by invitation only, but anyone interested will be contacted very shortly. There will be more about these groups and th'.-ir activities as it is received. FROM THE DRAi/lATICS CLUB On October 25 the Dramatics Club in cooperation with Better Speech Month and under the direction of Miss McGhee presented a program on WLOS Radio called "Comedy of Danger". The story was centered around a young couple and an old er man trapped in a V/elsh coal mine. June Trantham and William Mills played the lovers, and Jerry McHone the older man. The production staff included Jane Floyd, Margot Greig, Tom Nix, and Steve Pinkerton. The Dramatics Club is planning the Christmas chapel program, and "The Merry Wives of Windsor" for May Day, For those interested in any phase of dramatics, there is a iot to be done and you are cor- dially invited to .join the club. FRESHMAN CLASS ELECTIONS The Freshmen, carefully guarded by upperclassmen, cast their bal lots this week and brought in tied votes. V/hether Alvin Carter or Glenn Pov^ell v;ill be President and Pat Wilde or Buddy Fletcher will be Secretary-Treasurer re mains to be seen, but Tony Cand ler is the class Vice-President.
