It feels like you are in it with them. James Frank Calire's banging of the keyboard has such a stablizing beat that you almost forget about the bass, but don't worry, it is there. »-SWERMnYiQfMW>nfa 1HEHQiyMDQM.nQUae» EASY RIDER SOUNDTRACK Dunhill DSX 50063 (s) LIVE AT BILL GRAHAM'S FILLMORE WEST, Columbia, CS 9893 Blues, Blues, and more Blues with the sounds of Bloomfield, Taj Mahal and others. Recorded live in Frisco during January and February of this year. THE HEAD SHOP, Epic, BN 26476 Their music has a haunty devilish sound that sounds as if it was written by Rosemary's Baby. Their album is way out and a must. Time means nothing when you listen to THE HEAD SHOP because time is a part of the non existent past, the future is in the sound. FATHERS AND SONS FATHERS AND SONS Chess LPS 127 (s) 2-record set with Muddy Waters, Mike Bloomfield, Paul Butterfield and many more. THE PACIFIC GAS AND ELECTRIC, Columbia CS 9900 There is nothing about the album that is a gas except for the group's name. The album is basically soul and blues except for Rabbit on side two. The group made up of Charlie Allen, Brent Block, Tom Marshal, Frank Cook, Gleen Schwartz is a hodgepodge of races, religions and beliefs but they have one common ground on which to walk—music. If blues and soul are for you then try their path. Pacific Gas and Electric. THE DISCOUNT TAPE AND RECORD CE1MTER has all these records and more. If you cannot get down to see them, call 252-0432 and your records will be delivered to you at the Central Dorm between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. THE ASSOCIATION Warner Brothers 8WM1800 Failing may be just around the corner for you. If so, there are ways to remedy the situation. After accumulating six semester hours of failing work, the student is given a warning. This procedure allows him to consult with his advisor, who can review his schedule and revise his study habits. If the student continues to fall and accumulates 12 semester hours of F or WF, he is suspended for two terms. Some are "scared" Into doing better work. This time away from school gives the student time to think over his situation and correct his mistakes. A freshman may fall simply because he Is not acquainted with the system. If he fails courses in the first two terms of enrollment, he can remove an F for every three hours of passing work in the succeeding terms. Up to 10 hours of F may be removed by retaking the course. After failing 18 hours of work, the student is dismissed because In most cases the student Is not capable of doing college-level work. This whole system enables the student of UNC-A to concentrate his time on learning, rather than grades.
