What Can The Bulldog
Barker Do For You?
The Barker is a publication of The Office of
Student Life. We advertise campus-wide
events for the UNCA Community for FREE!
Any campus department or recognized
organization is welcome to advertise! The
Barker has over 1200 readers each
publication cycle. The Barker is published
every other week on Thursdays. Information
is due on Mondays by 5pm. Formatting and
information placement is at the discretion of

Congratulations!
Congratulations are in order for Linda Cornett and
a group of UNCA students who recently
participated in the Model United Nations Southern
Regional in Atlanta.
Competing against 349 students from 39 universities
representing 85 different countries, the team from UNCA was
one of only five schools to be awarded the highest honor -
Distinguished - in the competition. The UNCA students
participating in the Model UN were: Marcela Ashburn, Joshua
Brekenfeld, Candice Carr, Emily Carter, Tasha Daniels, Liz
Ford-Cox, Emily Ghazarian, Laura Hauser, Jessica Hyland,
Jon Kelman, Taji Kommineni, Tim Love, Robin Meier, Brian
Padgett, Sam Potter, Joshua Pressley, Adrienne Stork, Miika
Vahamaa and Marasi Mwencha. Great Job!

American Red Cross.
The American Red Cross has scheduled a blood drive
from 13 Dec thru 31 Dec. As an added bonus, anyone
giving between 12/23 and 12/31 will receive an A.R.C.
T-shirt. Helping to give the gift of life and receiving a
free t-shirt to boot, who can beat that?
