Sodexho Marriott UNCATeacher Nominations The Teaching Awards Commit tee needs students’ help in nomi nating some of UNCA’s outstand ing teachers. The committee is currently taking nominations for seven teaching awards to be given in the next aca demic year. For students’ nominations to be considered, the nominations must be made before the end of final ex ams. Students can nominate one or more teachers who haveencouraged them. The reasons for the teachers suc cess needs to be stated in 100 words or less. Students should reply by e-mail, and state their major or intended major. For more information, contact Bob Yearout by e-mailing yearout@unca.edu or call251 -6854. Holocaust Commemoration UNCA’s Holocaust Commemo ration Week is April 16 to 19. On April 19, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., the names of Holocaust victims will be read on the main quad in front of Ramsey Library At 6 p.m., there will be a silent, walking vigil from Ramsey Li brary to Beth Israel Synagogue on Murdock Avenue. At 7 p.m., there will be a Holo caust Memorial Day service at Beth Israel Synagogue. Students, faculty, staff and community members are needed to read the names of Holocaustvictims.
