UNCA Professor Wins Award Merritt Moseley, professor of lit erature and language, received the University of North Carolina Board of Governor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching April 12. Moseley’s creativity in the class room, scholarly achievements and commitment to students and the community were cited as reasons for his success. UNCA Celebrates Heritage April is Asian-American Heri tage Month, and UNCA will have several events occurring on cam pus. On April 20, there will be an Asian Dinner Special at the din ing hall from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Japanese Taiko Drumming, fea turing Marco Leinhard, will occur at 6:30 p.m. in the Highsmith Center lounge April 20. Poet Li-Young Lee will speak April 23 at 7:30 p.m. in the Highsmith Center lounge. His lat est book,“Winged Seed,” is Lee’s personal account of childhood exile and his father's political im prisonment. General admission is $5 at the door.
