The team, that was knocked out in the second round by the Pittsburgh Panthers, had been traveling since early Friday morning to return to Asheville. Although the game put an end to the team's tournament dreams, the Bulldogs fought hard and garnered national rec- ognitiph and air-time on ESPN. The final score was 74-51, Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh, ranked No. 1 in the South East region, were subsequently upset by But ler, a No. 8 seed, in the third round.
