The UNC-A Recreation Office is call ing all skiers who would like to form a ski club. Marney Richards of the Recreation Office said plans are being made for frequent trips to Cataloochee, one or two trips to Beech Mountain and possibly some cross-country skiing in Boone. “Since this will be a new club/' said Richards, "the members can organize it to suit themselves. But we need to get it all down on paper this month.” Those interested in joining are asked to contact Richards at Extension 223. Her last words on the subject: THINK SNOW!!!" HELP WANTED During the year, the Learning Resources Center needs temporary help. Special programs at night, on weekends, and sometimes during the week, requiring audio and/or videotaping, sound systems, projec tionists, etc., leave us short of person nel. We would like to establish a roster of four or five dependable and usually available people who can be oriented to the various equipment types and who will be "on call" as needed. See Bob Hayner in the Learning Resources Center if you are interested. WORDS WANTED All writers, would-be writers and just-barely writers are reminded that "The Paper" wants and needs your contributions to our bi-weekly gather ing of university news. "The Paper" was established to serve the whole university - students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends - and it will serve that purpose best of all if you regard it as "your" paper. The faculty can usually be counted on to come through with a sufficient supply of scheduled events. Students may re quire more prompting. So, students, here is is your paper - made possible, in part, through the student fees ad ministered by the Publications Board. Your news belongs here. Bring, send or call it in to the Public Information Office, top floor of the Phillips Ad ministration Building. We'll take it from there. Again, we ask your cooperation in supplying copy to us well in advance of the deadline so that we may better serve you. UNC-A PICNIC Continued From Page One be provided.
