Oriental Art Selling Here An exhibition and sale of original Oriental art will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, at the Owen Gallery on the ground floor of the Owen Building. The sale will be conducted by Mar- son, Ltd. of Baltimore, which has visited the campus a number of times previously. This collection will include about 500 pieces from Japan, China, India, Tibet, Nepal and Thailand. They range from modern woodcuts, etchings, lithographs, serigraphs and mezzotints to prints dating to the 18th century. Restrain Rover, Growls Carreno Chief Charles Carreno of the Cam pus Police has some official advice for local dog fanciers: "It is a university policy that dogs are not allowed in any of the campus buildings." "A number of complaints have been made about unleashed dogs throughout the campus," said the chief. "The Campus Police Department will assist in the removal of any dog found on campus not in compliance with this policy or the Asheville city leash law." The cafeteria will pitch in to celebrate St. Patrick's Day one day late (better late than never) with a traditional Irish menu, begorra. The Nee Ningy Band plays traditional styles of English, Irish, Cajun, country and blues. It recently moved to North Carolina from Rhode Island and has performed in clubs and colleges along the East Coast from Maine to the Tarheel State. The good saint's memory will be celebrated on time at The Coffeehouse at 8 p.m., Monday, St. Patrick's day. Irish folk music and traditional green beer will flow in reasonable quantities. The music will be pro vided by Chris Blair, a singer-guitarist from the UNC-A area, and an Asheville trio called "Circa." All of them do a variety of music, from Irish folk tunes, original American folk to rock 'n' roll. The event is sponsored by the UNC-A Music Club and the beer is made available by the Student Government.
