THINGS I HAVE MISSED
I have lived on this earth for
many long years.
And am pondering now as life
draws to a close,
On all the things that I have
missed
In the noisy and useless life
that I chose.
The sparrow never sang Hs song
especially for me;
Nor can I say I ever had com
munion with a tree.
I never made a pilgrimage to
where the saints have trod;
I never tasted nectar from a
dainty buttercup;
I never rose to meet the dawn—
to watch the sun come up.
I never saw the happiness a
friendly word can bring;
Nor |Was I ever thrilled with
the beauty of the spring.
I was never very generous with
friendliness and love,

Methodist Church, Monday, May 30. Miss Faucette will
