To Play West Georgia Col lege At Griffin, Ga.; Line-up Is Given The Tornadoes of Brevard col lege will travel to Griffin, Ga., this week end to open the 1949 grid season with the West Georgia college aggregation on Saturday night. Coach Bob Andrews says he ex pects to take three teams to Geor gia for the important opening en counter, and he doesn’t know what to expect out of the Georgia eleven. “In fact, we don’t know what to expect out of our own boys,” the head coach stated yes terday. Reporting on the line, Coach Bob Swicegood says the Torna does are still ragged in practice sessions. “Maybe it is still too early in the season to say so, but bur blocking is off and our tack ling is poor,” Swicegood declared. Running from a single wing along with the split “T,” the Tor nadoes are expected to give the Georgia team some trouble, offen sively. Brevard’s opponents oper ate strictly from the tricky “T.” The Brevard probable starting line-up will be as follows: LE—Jack McCauley LT—Jim White LG—James Barker C—Jim Daniel RF—Bruce Jamerson RT—Clyde Pitts RE—William Miller Q—Carlton Robinson LH—Ebby Wilkerson RH—Chester Baker FB—Bob Earnhardt r Photos, Finishing, Supplies Austin’s Studio BREVARD COLLEGE 1949 GRID SCHEDULE September 24—West Georgia at Griffin, Ga.
