Crowning was done by Mr. Robert Little, President of the Student Body. The Homecoming activities ati Brevard College were a tremen-1 dous success. The activities got un-1 der way at 9:30 with registration [ for the alumni followed by a coffee in the faculty lounge at ten o’clock, j At 11:00 a Thanksgiving service v.as held in the campus center building auditorium conducted by President McLarty. During the ser vice there were welcomes by rep resentatives of Weaver College, Ru therford College, and Brevard Col lege. The special music was given by the Brevard College glee club. Dinner was served in the college cafeteria and turkey was enjoyed by all. At 3:00 a basketball game was held in the gymnasium with the Brevard Tornadoes playing the Hendersonville All-Stars. The half- time activities could be called the anticlimax of the day. After a fan fare by the newly organized cam pus band, the Freshman attendant, Miss Pat Harrison,, was escorted by Mr Don Oglesby followed closely by Miss Beverly Ussery, the Sopho more attendant, escorted by Mr. Charlie Adams. Then the moment everyone had been waiting for— j the entrance of our lovely Home coming Queen, Miss Jerri Mason, I escorted by Mr. Lloyd Hensley. Af ter the crowning, her majesty, Queen Jerri and her court were en tertained by the tumbling class. The climax of the day was held at 8:30 in the auditorium with a dance sponsored by the Clios and Euter- peans. EMA Plans To Sponsor Ball The EMA will sponsor a ma# querade ball on February 1, 1957, in the main auditorium. The cos tumes will be judged, and there will be dancing to the school’s combo. “Early notice of the ball is fur- nshed so that the students may bring" back their costumes from Christmas holidays, “Howard Mar tin, president of the EMA club sta ted. Day Students Plan Festivities Members of the Day Students’ Club met in the Dunham Hall aud itorium on Monday, November 25. The president, Sarah Fortune, presided; and a business session was conducted. Plans for taking the annual picture were discussed, and the subject of dues was taken up. LaLeet Lance, chairman of the committee on making Christmas plans, gave a report, and the club members voted in favor of going caroling on December 13 and of as sisting the Women’s Intramural Council in sponsoring a Christmas party. the “Campus Kats” of Lenoir- Rhyne College.
