He is a member of the Board of Trustees of Brevard College, High Point College, Emory Uni versity, and Pfeiffer College. Born in Meridian, Mississippi, Bishop Harmon received his A. B. degree from Millsaps College, his M. A. degree from Prince ton University, and holds honor^ ary degrees from several otner universities and colleges. The requirements for eligibility to be tapped into the organization are a 1.5 acad emic average, approval by the faculty, the Dean of Women, and the Big Sisters, and qualities of character, leadership, and friend liness. Ray attended Rosman Hi^ School where he participated in such major activities as being Valedictorian of his class, a Marshal, President of the Beta Club, and a member of the All- Conference basketball team- This year at Brevard he haca been continuing his notable rec ord by recently being tapped in to the Phi Theta Kappa and by being chosen a Marshal. His ma jor is in the field of science. BARNETTE ELECTED V-P Ken Barnette of Gomer, Geor gia, was elected Vice-Presideiii. In high school he was president of his senior class. After high school he entered the army- Upon completion of his military service, he was employed at Southern Pines Piedmont Ag ricultural Experiment Station This year at Brevard he is a member of the Men’s House Council and Phi Theta Kappa.
