Brevard was beaten by a score of 8-0. This score is not surprising since Warren-Wilson has been defeated only once in three years. Even against great odds, the Brevard soccer team made a commendable showing. As Thanksgiving approaches, the time draws near for Brevard to begin its tough basketball season. I he first regular season game is scheduled for Novem ber 23 at Chowan. „ The Tornadoes have had practice games with Western Carolina College, the Furman freshmen, and Appalachian State Teacher’s College. The Reb els were unbeaten prior to this game. The Rebels took the lead early in the game with two touchdowns before the Blivits taUied their first score. The Blivits came back quickly with two touchdowns and made good on both extra points. The score at halftime was 14-13 with the Blivits on top. The last half saw the Blivits in command as they scored their final touchdown. Lees McRae scored 25 points while Brevard totaled 30 to come in second. Wingate was out of the running v.'ith 63 points. Con Rich, from Lees McRae, came across the finish line in first place settling a new course record. Brevard College’s top thinclad. Bob Mals- by, was second. As in previous games, the Reb el Rousers took an early lead and were leading the Cellar Dwell ers 14-13 at halftime. In the second half, however, Gil Hofheimer of the Cellar Dwellers tallied two touchdowns and a safety to secure the victory.
