C. B. Stanley edged out Jimmy Thames for the fourth slot in a race that w'as apparently over the entire course. Stanly stove off Jim’s determined last attack as the two came down the home stretch and eked out a fourth place position, moving Thames to 5th. Sam Autrey and Mike Poole anchored the meet for the home team finishing 6th and 7th, well ahead of the pursuing Wingate pack. ^J4ost l^oadrunnerd The University of Tennessee’s B team will host Brevard’s Cross Country team Saturday in the Road Runner’s final meet before the all important regional and national trials. With foi*mer B. C. coach. Thad Talley, at the helm of the U. T. squad, the encounter should prove to be one of the most interesting of the season. The teams have met previously this season in the six-mile race at Calloway Gardens, Ga., with the Bre vard runners barely edging the Volunteers from Ten nessee to capture 10th place in the meet.
