Husband-Wife Team
Performs Music & Drama
Ingrid and Robert McDonald in “Interplay”.
By Lisa French
“Interplay,” a unique
combination of music, drama,
comedy, poetry, and prose
will be presented November 3,
at 8:15 p.m., by Ingrid and
Robert McDonald in the
Boshamer Gymnasium.
Ingrid is an Austrian-born
actress who excels in word
portraits and dramatic
monologues. Robert, her
husband, is an American
concert pianist who has a
special talent for innovative
combinations of literary
works with music. The
combination of these two
extraordinary talents literally
achieves an interplay between
music and the spoken word.
The couple has had three
successful tours of Europe
including the Vienna Festival
1978, Austria, West Germany,
and Rumania. The McDonalds
prove that the worlds of
drama and music can come
together on the concert stage.
Piano works and dramatic
word portraits are alternated
with works for narrator and
piano, and dramatizations of
famous music and literary
figure’s lives. Don’t miss this
artistically exciting and
highly entertaining evening.
