Volleyball intramurals finished up its
competition Oct. 9 with Green Basement’s
“Gang Green” team taking first place
honors in the men’s division and the West
Beam basement team were the winners in
the women’s division.
League Champions with the best overall
record received a trophy and the winners
of each bracket were awarded t-shirts.
Volleyball is a game in which the “kids
who do not have sports skills can come out
for,” says Coach Norm Witek, director of
the intramurals program.
Day Student Samantha Weslev was the
glue that held everything together by be- ^
ing Witek’s assistant director of the ^
volleyball competition. She was in charge t
of making schedules, putting up posters,
and refereeing games. “I just made sure
everything went smoothly,” she said.
