We are on our way to creating a system that will make the con tract more functional.” Scarborough sees a need for a better way to track violations of Uniform Guidelines in the system. Points are a heavy factor against students on the contract. Uniform guidelines are en forced very heavily, as always. Scar borough is optimistic about the program and what it can do. “Learning contracts just make it harder "^o ignore your academic responsibilities,” he said. Eric, who shares Clarion photography duties with Faculty Advisor Jock Lauterer, began his career at Seminole High School in Sanford, Fla. as photographer for the school newspaper and yearbook He also was a sports photographer for the city paper and is listed in Who's Who Among High School Students. Eric's achievements don’t stop there though, he’s also a licensed cardiopulmonary-resusitation instructor, in Florida and North Carolina. When Eric Learned CPR at the age of 11, "his teachers felt he had great potential as a teacher himself so they urged him towards instnictional classes. Now he teaches at Transylvania Com munity Hospital and has been recently recertified to meet the new American Heart Association standards. He has just been inducted by the Transylvania County Heart Association and is now an official t)oard member. “If you have taken CPR in the last year or so you need to take a refresher course,” says Eric. “And if you haven’t had CPR then take it—you could save a life.” I A Pre-Exam PholoQuiz brought to you by the Clarion staff: The above picture depicts which of the following situations?
