Matt Brouwer coming to Porter Center

If you haven’t heard by word
of mouth or seen the posters
around school, Matt Brouwer
is coming to Brevard College
on March 9. A special event
sponsored by Brevard College
FCA, CAB, Brevard
Community Church, First
United Methodist Church, and
Glady Branch Baptist is taking
place at the Porter Center If
you’re not familiar with Matt
he plays for a higher calling
through contemporary
Christian rock. Brouwer has
dug his own niche in Indie folk
rock through his many
inspirational songs.

By a ten-to-one margin,
students who attended an
open-forum debate think
students at Brevard College
should be afforded the same
constitutional rights that
protect students at public
institutions.
At the 23'“* Debate Forum
Wednesday, students voted
45-4 in favor of the resolution,
“Although attending a private,
liberal arts institution, students
at Brevard College should
enjoy the same constitutional
guarantees and protections as
those students attending
public four-year colleges and
universities.” Turn-out for the
debate was one of the largest
in recent memory, said Michael
