This includes pa per, plastic, cardboard, and glass. There is a recycling shed located by every dumpster for each dormitory including Beam, Jones, Green, and North and South villages. All students that live on campus should advise one another to separate their recycla- bles when taking them to the sheds. There have been several cases where students leave their bags of trash under the sheds without organizing them. This prolongs the process of organizing the items that can and caimot be recycled and accumulates to one “Some kids are obviously taking cars and joyriding in them.” Jacobsen is urging students to make sure that they lock their cars whenever they leave them and to make sure that no valu ables are left in their vehicles. big mess. Items that have food on them such as pizza boxes, plastic take-out containers, fast food cups. Styrofoam, wet paper, and anything that looks like trash caimot be re cycled. Do not bother recychng any plastic bottles with dip in them either All students should keep in mind that if the item looks like trash, it probably is trash and should be taken to the dumpster Please be courteous and take a minute to organize your trash, because this makes the recycling process easier and keeps uimecessary items from ending up in the recycling containers. With the help from students living on campus, we can reduce the amount of waste being generated on campus and acquire a more sustainable living enviroimient.
