Page 8 Arts & Life The Clarion | April 13, 2012 Aziz Ansari comes to western NC I It's about damn time the Asheville cell center got some decent stand up and Ansari is one of my personal favorite acts touring right now. His last special "Intimate Moments for a Sensual Evening,” was some of the most left field material I've ever heard. Look up the part on YouTube where he crashes his twelve year old cousin's biology message board or his other little cousin's accidental internet rivalry with Kanye West. It's absolutely killer stuff. But beyond my personal feelings about the guy (and they're pretty bro-mantic) he deserves a shout-out for coming over here and not staying on the west coast. That takes balls, as the South is a notoriously difficult stand up circuit. So I humbly ask you all not only as Brevard students, but as people who want more out of our entertainment venues to dig deep (it's only forty bucks) and make this guy feel at home... which for him is South Carolina now that I think about it. Come on guys. You owe it not just to yourself, but to your college, your community, and your local Parks and Recreation supervising assistant. Get this dude on your comedy radar yesterday... now can anyone tell me were to hang up my soapbox? By Alex McCracken staff Writer Fun day of Adventure.
