A picnic in Pisgah
BC students from around the world attended the annual international picnic on Sunday and enjoyed great food and company.
Where international mayhem ensues

T he international picnic has become a tradition and always calls
out for a lot of fun.
Organized by Paul Morgan, Le Tavoloni and the house parents of the
internationals, this year's pienic had been a full suecess.
At noon, everyone gathered in front of the gym to head off to Pisgah,
where they were greeted with a wonderful lake-view, delicious food
and great people.
After eating and chatting, the students headed to the basketball
court or played some games with the house families. With the great
atmosphere, everyone was relaxed, enjoyed the sun.
The relaxing atmosphere was quickly dispersed when the familiar
and unavoidable bickering about which student’s country was superior
to the rest. The group learned very quickly that New Zealanders and
Aussies are definitely not the same people.
As well as the fact that the German is a language that, no matter how
nice you are, sounds angry when you speak it.
Later, everyone gathered in teams of two to play a game.
Coincidently, there were exactly two people from the same country
combined into a team- there was a Team Great Britain, Team Africa,
Team Germany, Team Canada, Team Down Under, Team Finland and
Team Latin America.
At the end of the day. Team Great Britain made it to the top, followed
by team Finland and Team Latin America.
At 4:30 p.m. everyone was back on campus with memories of a great
and fun afternoon. A big thank you goes to everyone who helped to
organize this great day and making the internationals feel so welcome
here at Brevard College!
