BC tennis splits
matches at season
doubleheader opener
Brevard dominates Spartanburg Methodist

Brevard College tennis hosted Spartanburg
Methodist College (SMC) on Saturday, Feb. 15
at 10;30 a.m. It was the first of a double header
for the day.
For the men, Ethan McGee and Jackson Ray
played one doubles and had a great 8-2 win
over Stratas A. and Noah B. from SMC. In two
doubles, Brevard’s Andrew Ingram and Troy
Broska beat Oliver E. and Dawson S. 8-2 as
well.
Number three doubles was JaMarcus Walker
and Miles Schafer with an 8-1 win over SMC’s
Charles C. and Alberto H.
McGee was number one in singles. He fell
to Stratas A. 1-6, 1-6. Ray won at two singles
against Oliver E. 6-3, 6-3. At three singles,
Broska beat Dawson S. 6-2, 6-3.
Ingram also won at four with a 6-1,6-0 score
over Noah B. Five singles was a win for Walker
against Charles C., 6-2, 6-1. Lastly, Schafer beat
Alberto H. at six scoring 6-0, 6-0.
Brevard men’s tennis triumphed over
Spartanburg Methodist with a massive 8-1 dub.
For the women, it was no less exciting. At
one doubles was Samantha Sepe and Lily Farr,
beating Molly L. and Madeline T. 8-1.
Hamrick Perry and Margaret Correll won 8-2
at number two doubles against Gracie P. and
Joana L. Alii Kogoy and Jen Cox won by default
at number three doubles.
In singles, Kogoy won 6-1, 6-2 against
Madeline T. Cox beat Molly L. at two with a
score of 6-4, 6-1. At three was Kenzie Bowman
beating Gracie P. 6-2, 6-2.
Brooke Garland triumphed over Joana L.
6-2, 6-2 at four singles. At five singles, Carmen
Boone won 6-0, 6-0 over Elena N. Margaret
Correll won at six singles by default.
Brevard women’s tennis triumphed over SMC
with another massive 9-0 dub.
