A tribute to BC seniors
You could not gather this month to be hooded at
Baccalaureate by a faculty or staff member, pose on
the steps of the library for a class photo, or line up
next to Dunham to march through the bell tower for
commencement, but nonetheless you were honored together
in a special video tribute that premiered May 9, the day
you would have walked across the stage in the Academic
Quadrangle to receive your diploma.
That video, featuring your names, many of your
photographs, and congratulatory messages from faculty,
staff and college administrators, can be accessed online at

BC president David Joyce dressed in fuil regalia to “weicome” seniors to
their virtuai ceiebration video on May 9. An in-person ceremony has been
scheduied for Sept. 19, 2020.

The COViD-19 pandemic may have prevented graduates from assembiing for a ciass photo for now, but in the meantime, here is a photo coilage of the seniors
honored in the tribute video on Facebook. included in the video was one student who would have been among this year’s graduates: Rakeem Sweezy (who can
be seen at the far left on the next-to-last row). Sweezy died unexpectedly from a previously undiagnosed illness in December 2017 during his sophomore year.
