CGA OCTOBER HEETING
The Carolina Gay Association will hold a discussion-meeting
at 7230 pm on Monday, October 18, in Room 207 of the Carolina
Union, The topic will be "Gays in Literature." Among the works
planned for discussion will be2 THE FRONT RUNNER by Patricia
Nell Warren; THE CHARIOTEER by Mary Renault; MAURICE by E.M,
Forster; CITY OF NIGHT by Oohn Rechy; THE CITY AND THE PILLAR
by Gore l/idal; CONSENTING ADULT by Laura Z, Hobson; and others.
Gays and straights alike are invited to attend.
CGA will sponsor its next dance on Friday, November 5.
Boggie time starts at 10:30 pm and runs strong until 1 am.
This is your chance to hear some of the latest happenings on
the music scene, catch up on the latest happenings on your
friends* scene and to create your own scene. Cold thirst
quenching refreshments are always available along with some of
your favorite munchies. So come along, stag, drag or ensemble
and join the fun going on in CRAIGE Dorm Coffeehouse,
NEW COUNSELING RESOURCES FOR GAYS
Two new counseling services have.opened -in the. Triangle
Area for gays.
The CROSSPOINT COUNSELING SERVICE is a newly formed, small
professional service which provides individual, group and couple
or marital counseling in an atmosphere of acceptance, trust and
flexibility. Maureen Malone and Mindy Wood (two CGA friends)
will help you explore your feelings, behavior, problem solving
and environment, using a clinical social work orientation which
combines the best of counseling techniques. CROSSPOINT
located at 2715 Chapel Hill Road--a half block north of
bridge where Chapel Hill Road passes over Chapel Hill Boulevard,

moderate and reasonable.
For students at UNC, free counseling in the areas of per
sonal, social, couple/ralationship/vocational concerns is
available now at the UNIVERSITY COUNSELING SERVICE (formerly
Guidance and Testing Center), in Nash Hall, on Cameron Avenue,
