WOMEN’S TAPES AVAILABLE FOR HANDICAPPED
li’ASHINGTON, DC—In an effort to make
yeomen's books and periodicals available
to handicapped readers, 10 women volun
teers have begun a program of tape re
cording ’’Sinister Wisdom,” ’’Off Our
Backs,” ’’Feminary” and other publica
tions and books.
According to Gay Community News
the women have temporary access to low-
cost tapes and free distribution. The
group says it wants to be able to make
tapes available for no more than the
cover price of the periodical or book.

UCLA PUBLISHES GAY MAGAZINE
UCLA announced the publication of
the first issue of Ten Percent, the
first university-funded gay newsmaga
zine in the U.S. The first issue,
published on Nov. 6, was distributed
free of charge in the Los Angeles area.
It featured interviews with Chris
topher ISherwood and Rita Mae Brown,
with articles on gay art history, gay
non-fiction of the 1970s, and gay men
in fraternities.
