Dear friends,
Christopher’s, Bluberry Hill, The Electric Company, the
Pegasus . • . it’s been a long time since gay people in Chapel
Hill have had a place of their own to relax, have a drink, and
meet friends. The opening of The Loft last year helped provide
one such opportunity; we want to invite you to join us in another•
Many of you have already been out to Stephen’s, after.all,
the supper club and caie in the Village Plaza on Elliott Road.
In just a few months, it’s gained a reputation as a comfortable
place to go for dinner, drinks, or a show. And whether at
Barbara Cock’s gala opening or during the zany visits of Gary
Herb and Johnny Potato, we’ve taken our seats alongside the rest
of Chapel Hill to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and the wonderful
people.
Now we’d like you to join us in a new venture—Mondays at
Stephen’s. Starting July 5, CGA will sponsor a party for gay
folks and their friends every Monday in the main clubroom. There
will be live music at the piano, drink specials from the bar, and
a variey of light meals from the cafe. We’ll start at nine
o’clock and keep going till we’ve had enough. For more informa
tion call CGA at 962-4401 or Stephen at 929-0217.
At last, our comer of the Southern Part of Heaven has
what we deserve . . •
