Snowflake Ball A Success
By CATHY SPEARS
After months of hard work,
the three women’s residence
halls (Merritt, Kenan and
Wright) organized Louisburgs
first annual Christmas formal,
“The Snowflake Ball,”
December 6, 1984.
The dance’s success was the
result of a number of factors;
fund raisers, doughnut sales,
pumpkingrams, slave auction,
ticket sales, cooperation from
student body, faculty, and the
dance committee. As the
committee chairperson, I
would like to take this
opportunity to thank all the
members of the committee for

their hard work and dedication.
The members of the committee
consisted of: Tracey Burchette,
Missy Chaney, Jennifer
Cooper, Lind Heffers, Michelle
Michael, Dolly Tart, and
Tracey Walker.
Thanks should also go to our
RD’s De]thine Watson, Judy
Cooke, and Johnsie Currin.
A very special thanks should
go to Dean Moore for helping
the committee whenever
needed.
Because the formal was such
a success, it is hoped that it will
become an annual event. In
order for this to become a
reality, it will take the hard
work and dedication of a
striving committee and student
body. Luckily we have both.
Best of luck to the upcoming
dance committee. I hope the
future Snowflake Balls will be
the success that ours was.

conditions.
