A Night In Paradise By DUANE OWENS Leaves are falling, tempera tures dropping; it’s home coming time at Louisburg College once again. This year’s homecoming week, which is the 18 th through the 23rd of November, promises to be full of activities and fun to inspire all. One of the most popular yearly activities is the S.G.A. sponsored Talent Show which takes place on the 19th of November. “We have some good acts signed up for this year’s show,” exclaims Kellie McLeod, Assistant Dean of Students. “We urge students to stay and attend the dance taking place after the basketball game as well,” stresses Dean McLeod. The Talent Show and dance are two of the biggist SGA events of the year and promise to be a lot of fun. The Talent Show takes place the 19th of November. Showtime is at 8:00 in the Louisburg College Audi torium. Afterwards, the dance will be held in the Multi- Purpose Room. The theme of this year’s dance will be “A Night In Paradise.” A DJ will be on hand to crank out your favorite tunes and it will no doubt be a good time for all involved. Another rather unique activity taking place on the 20th of November is the bonfire sponsored by Franklin and Wright dorms and the cheerleaders. Bring plenty of marshmellows for this one, it promises to be a good time! Another popular event in years past was the selection of the Homecoming Queen. Each dorm is represented by a candidate and commuter students have a representative as well. Be sure and back your dorm or other candidate of your choice. Get out there and vote! Voting will take place Thursday the 21st of November in the cafeteria. The Homecoming Queen, as well as the entire homecomng court and their escorts, will be honored with a banquet on the 22nd of November.
