Louisburg College Caudle Named Homecoming Queen 'i A stunned Kim Caudle recewes congratulations and the crown from last year’s Homecoming Queen, Leigh Coble. by Sherri Redwine “I was very surprised. I had no idea. Ii was so much fun,” said Kim Caudle. The Wilmington sophomore was named Louisburg College Homecoming Queen for the 1987-88 year, Saturday, November 21, during half-time of the Canes vs. Spartanburg basketball game. Immediately following the game, the Homecoming Dance look place in the Multi- Purf)ose Room of the Jordan Student Center. As in the past, the dress was semi-formal. The theme for this year’s dance was “Dancing in the Moonlight.” Mike Long’s Sound, Light, and Video Productions provided videos, pop, rap and funk music. While Caudle was surprised at her being crowned, some of the other girls in the court were not. “She’s a sweet girl,” said Robynne French, sophomore, and second runner up, representing Wright dormi tory. “All of us had an equal chance,” said Tracey Cunning ham, representing Hillman. Last year’s Homecoming Queen, Leigh Coble, presently attending Elon College, returned to crown the Queen. Teresa Atkinson, a freshman for Wilson, represented Merritt dormitory, and w’as voted first runner up. Robynne French, ' from Winston-Salem was second runner up, and Tracey Cunniitgham, a freshman from Hillsborough, finished third runner up. Other girl’s in the court included Linda Smith - representing Patten; Linda Brown - Student Affairs; Teresa Atkinson - Merritt; Lisa Sykes - Main an^ Davis; Jennifer Wolfe - Eller Hpuse; Michelle Moody - Franklin; and Cithy Carter - Commuter. The girl’s agreed that representing their dorms and the College was excitingand an honor. “1 could not believe I Avas chosen as a member of the court, since I am a freshinan and didn’t know that many F>eople,” said Jennifer Wolfe, from Winston-Salem. “I hope that I will meet more interesting people because of it,” she added.
