Rogers, a volunteer coordinator
of nurses and a graduate student
in English from Greensboro.
Father Byron expressed views
through the eyes of the Catholic
Church and from his own indi

“The Church believes in the bus
iness of the lesser evils” and
described what he called its
“consistent pro-life” position: its
opposition to euthanasia, the
death penalty, and abortion.
Betty Rogers was a bit more

Louisburg College has been
given a pipe organ by the alumni.
The organ, located in Benson
Chapel, wiU be dedicated to
Sarah Foster, Professor Emeritus
of Music, at a ceremony later in
the year.
The organ was purchased
from Randall Dyer and Asso
ciates of Jefferson City, Tennes
see, and cost approximately
$60,000. I interviewed Bradley
Jones and Jeff Weiler, both ton^
directors for Randall Dyer, who
have been putting the finishing
touches on the organ. Jones and
Weiler said that the oi^an is
totally custom designed for the
room it is placed in, from the
wooden architecture to the size
of the pipes.

Ste\!v^ Rogers, a physician
from Greensboro and teacher at
the medical school at UNC, is a
self-proclaimed moderate on the
issue of abortion. He believes
that the fetus is a living human
being and that life should be
preserved whenever feasible but
that abortion is sometimes the
lesser of evils. He said, “I have a
slight preference for people I
can see.”
The Peace Group, by present
ing dialogue on such a impor
tant controversy as abortion,
hopes to make information avail
able on topics that have an effect
on us all. The Peace Group
encourages students to become
informed about these issues,
take a stand, and write their
governmental representatives to
express their opinions.
