If you feel the need for self-expression, the chance to bare your soul (well, maybe a little more than your soul), and you wish everyone knew just a little more about you, then your chance is on the way. Remember how Hugh Hefner decided to expose the girls of Duke, UNC, and State in his "Girls of the ACC” issue of Play boy? Yes, these fine schools received a lot of publicity, amidst much criticism, for the students’ participation. Y et, now everyone knows about the ACC schools. After thumbing through a copy of the issue. Dean Eller decided that maybe Louisburg could benefit financially, as well as gain recognition from such an issue. Clutching his dog-eared ACC issue he stated, "Louisburg may be a small school, but we do have our merits: our baseball and women’s basketball teams. Hugh could do an issue on private col leges. We definitely have some beautiful young women here. Louisburg could definitely be put on the map.” All interested females are asked to pick up an application from their HSR’s. Upon completion they should turn them back in to the designated box in Main Building and make an appoint ment for test pictures. Test pic tures will include a head shot and a full length in a bathing suit. After the test shots are judged and applications reviewed, twelve girls will be chosen. Pictures and applications will then be sent to Playboy along with a letter from Dean Eller asking Mr. Hefner to consider this proposition. If things go according to plans, the twelve girls will be seen not only in Playboy, but also in a "Girls of LC” calendar. The calendar will be on sale for $ 10 in November and may be purchased through the Public Affairs Office. ^^Boom-Boom’’ Eller Admits to Past Life as Male Dancer An unidentified source reported last week that he had seen old pictures of Dean of Students Craig Eller in a hip-hugging bik ini gyrating across a stage in one of the seedier clubs in New Orleans. When confronted with these pictures in a Student Affairs meeting, Eller broke down and revealed the whole sordid story behind those telling photos. Before Dean Eller was hired by Louisburg College, he had lived the life of the male dancer. Eller said that is all began when his family didn’t take his dancing seriously. He ran away, first to dance in New York. There he found that the life of a would-be broadway dancer was much dif ferent than the Fred Astaire movies. by Fuller Bull Eller eventually found New York too hard on his sensitive soul. He got caught up in the never-ending cycle of reading books to escape his failures. From New York, Eller traveled down the coast, dancing in small clubs on the way. Eller finally ended up in a sleazy hole on Bourbon St. dancing for middle- aged women, out for the after noon. When at his lowest, Eller remembered the quaint Club 39 where he had danced. With this inspiration, Eller packed up his bags and traveled to Louisburg to begin his new, more respectable life. To this point, no action has been taken to remove Eller from his position at Louisburg Col lege. Most feel that he has over come his past. Dean Eller works daily to overcome his colorful past. Editor Exposed by Skip Scoop Melissa Aderhold, Editor of this newspaper, who is well known for retaining, or trying to retain, her composure, lost it all Wednesday, March 21st, after the Fred Chappell reading. The Associate Editor coaxed her back stage and suggested that they don Romeo and Juliet costumes and read passionate poetry to one another. Finally the Editor was able to loudly and boisterously proclaim her hidden love for her Associate Editor, Ron Hasson. Aderhold was heard later that night exclaiming, "It was wonder ful—I never knew it could be so good; I’ll never look at poetry the same way again.” When asked to comment on the incident, Hasson stated that he felt it unfortunate that their rather fervid poetical relationship had come "out of the closet.” Hasson also stressed his concern that the editors’ reputations would be sullied irreparably. Features Editor Traci Latta said (with some surprise), "I didn’t even know they liked each other.”
