Charity Haunted House Planned VF IN SMOKE Playing hardball with drug users by Matthew Yehiel Dope. Weed. Pot. Call it what you will, mari juana has hit Louisbuig College. This year the administration has adopted a "zero tolerance" policy. If a student is caught on campus with marijuana, other drugs or paraphernalia he or she is automatically suspended for one semester. According to Dean of Students Michael Krause four students have already been suspended from school due to marijuana possession, one of them be ing a freshman who was caught on the second day of school. Last year if someone was caught with drug para phernalia they lost their fmancial aid and lost privi leges around campus. They were also recommended for a counseling program. The change of policy was brought around in part by students who were fed up with the slack disciplinary measures handed out to drug users. The Student Affairs Committee which consists of students and faculty decided to ditch the old plan and implement the new no-frills approach. The new policy also applies to students who are ciiL pqi 6 by Wendy E. Michel This is the first year the Student Govern ment Asssociation will be hosting a haunted house for all Louisburg College students as well as the public. Canned goods will be collected from each person at the entrance: however, for those who do not have a canned good, the cost will be one dollar. All proceeds will be given to the Care and Share Program and then dis tributed to needy families for Thanksgiv ing. The S.G.A. Haunted House will be lo cated next door to Ervin Williams' home behind Patten Hall. It will be open this Friday the 27th and Saturday the 28th from 7pm to 9:30pm. "One exciting feature is the Chamber of Death!" said Ginger Bray. It will be great fun and everyone should take the time to come!" saidBray, amemberofS.G.A. "The initial funds from S.G.A. have provided a sufficient amount of money to spend on the activity," said Bray. "It will be a lot of fun!"
