On Thursday, January 25th, a few
brave pairs stepped up on stage
and battled It out In The Room
mate Game. Contestants were
quizzed on each other's likes,
dislikes, and habits. Patten Hall's
Mark Asbrand and Mark MIcale
took home the first prize, with
strong competition from Kenan
Hall roommates Anita Johnson
and Agellkl Llatos, (above) Nicole
Murchison and Tisha London
(right).
Suttlemyre Settles In

Taking the place of Dr.
Willard this semester is Greer
Suttlemyre. Suttlemyre graduated
from Oxford (yes, that Oxford), and is
glad to be here at Louisburg, even if it
is only for one semester.
Suttlemyre worked 10 years
for the National Register of Historical
Places before going to Oxford. After
his return from England, he taught for
two years at NC State. He has taught
the last three years at the Community
College near his home of Table Rock,
NC.
When Suttlemyre worked for
the National Register of Historic
Places, he came to Louisburg College
to consider Person Place and the Old
Academy Building for entry into the
Register. He enjoyed Louisburg then,
in 1969, and still enjoys the town to
day. At the end of his first week at
Louisburg, Suttlemyre had this to say
of the students and faculty: "I like the
students, I like everything about it...."
He was also impressed with
the number of faculty members that
came to welcome him to Louisburg.
He stated that right now he couldn't be
happier.

Area Music Association for Best Rock
Band, Songwriters of the Year, Video
of the Year, and Best Songwriter. They
have won in the categories of Best Fe
male Vocalist in the Rock/Pop, Roots
Rock, and Contemporary Folk catego
ries. Scott Smith and Jennifer Ferguson
are Naked Blue, a roots-rock band with
arough-n-tumble sound comparable to
Melissa Etheridge performing tonight
in the Multi-Purpose Room at 9p.m.
