Here Jamie Blrken- stock (left) and Levon Harris compete In the talent category. Harris was named first runner up, with Squirrel Kerr taking second runner up honors. Nomination Process Begins S.G.A. ELECTIONS UPCOMING Shyllon shines for title Karim Shyllon was crowned Mr. Lou- U at the annual WAVES-sponsored Mr. Lou-U contest, which was held on Febru ary 22nd. WAVES president Christie Rudd served as the host while nominees Mark Micale, Shawn Ballard, Alex Hawthorne, Levon Harris, Squirrel Kerr, Linwood Davis, Garnett Heilig, and Jamie Birkenstock all showed up to impress the judges and the packed crowd. In one cat egory, contestants were asked to pull tal ents out of a hat and act them out. They ranged from jumping rope to impressions of resident directors. Shyllon cinched his title with an impres sion of Coach Drake during a time out, which seemed to ring true with players Har ris and Hawthorne. When a tie had been declared between Shyllon and Harris, they were asked to give a final pose for ap plause. Congratulations to all! The Student Government As sociation is gearing up for the elections that will determine the executive of ficers for tlie 1996-97 school year. Nomination papers can be picked up in the Student Affairs Office in Davis Hall. The closing date for nominations is April 1. The elections will be held the week of April 18. The executive officers are the President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer of the Student GovemmentAssocialion. All first-year students are able to run for these offices.
