It all started Friday night. Louisburg
College students packed Norris Theater to see co
medians. While the audience waited, they were
entertained by sophomores "Skeet" Davis, "Fruit
Loop," and Freshmen Chuck Brown.
On Saturday, students and Alumni packed
Holton Gym to witness the Louisburg Hurricanes
stomp Chowan JV's with a score of 93-63. During
halftime Melissa Kelly and Kyle Lynch were
crowned Queen and King with Nikki Neth and
Aaron Seay as first runners up.
The 70's dance was something different.
Many students came dressed with their 70's attire.
Homecoming brought out the best in everyone.
Hats off to Jeff Brewer, Shana Carroll, Anwar
Cruter, Ashley Williams, and Stan Zeigler for a job
well done.

Dr. King stood for ideals that were and
still are significant and crucial to maintianing
mankind: racial tolerance, peace and love for
one another. We celebrated his birthday on Janu
ary 20, as students and faculty alike joined each
other in a short ceremony honoring the late Dr.
King and his ideals in the Chapel. "Doc" Taylor
gave a stirring speech that held the audiences
attention. One man walked up to the podium
and gave "Doc" a hug. Mr. Stafford also
brought to the audiences attention some archives
on the death of Dr. King and how Louisburg
reacted to it. Dr. King will always be remem
bered as a significant leader to us all.
