Madness at

On Monday, November 3,
1997, Louisburg College will be
hosting "Midnight Madness" in
Holton Gymnasium from 9 p.m.
until 12 a.m.
During this time, several ac
tivities will take place. Four in
tramural teams will compete in a
mini-toumament. The men's and
women's basketball players of
programs are going to be intro
duced and then the captains will
speak to the crowd. After the
cheerleaders perform, there will
also be a three-point competition,
a slam-dunk competition, and a
Masquerade Ball

Last year, the Student
Government Association held a
haunted house to celebrate All
Hallows Eve. Unfortunately, ac
cording to Jamie Dew, they are
not doing it this year because the
house was difficult to rent, and a
cleanup crew was hard to find
after the event was over. There
were also some noise complaints
about the haunted house from the
community. This year, the SGA
has made plans to hold a mas-

Little Caesar's Half Court
Challangefor$100.
The three-point and slam-
dunk competitions will include
the semifinals and finals. The
winner of each competition will
receive a trophy, compliments of
Little Caesar's Pizza of Louis
burg.
The $100 sponsorship will
enable the College to purchase
the trophies for the two compe
titions. Dean Krause is request
ing 20 coupons for the Half Court
Challange, and a receipt/letter for
the $100 if an individual (three
drawn from the crowd) makes the
half court shot. There will only
querade ball tonight for students
who want to dress up in cos
tumes, and have a good time. DJ
Delroy will play hit songs for the
ball tonight. There will also be a
contest for the best costumes to
night. First-place winner will re
ceive two CDs and a gift certifi
cate. The second-place winner
will receive one CD and a gift cer
tificate, both courtesy from Wal-
mart. Do not forget to bring a
canned good for admission. The
cans collected will be donated to
a needy cause in the community

for the crowd and any other pro
motional items (plastic cups, tee-
shirts, etc.) that the cheerleaders
could throw to the crowd
throughout the evening. Little
Caesar's pizza will also sell
pizzas in the lobby of the gymna
sium. So, get out there and show
your Lou-U spirit for our basket
ball programs!!
