The Black Ink, founded in 1969, is the official publication of the Black
Student Movement at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Our
mission remains: "If Blackness can be transformed into pictures and words,
we intend to do so, by any means necessary." All articles, letters, editorials,
illustrations and poetry are welcome and must be signed. The Black Ink
does not discriminate on the basis of sex, sexual orientation, religion, race,
