Class of 1927 , Rev. Clarence E. Baker, is pastor of the Tabernacle Baptist Church, Wilmington, N. C. Aileen Biggerstaff (Mrs. Allen H. Cash) attended Asheville Normal and Salem College after leaving Boil ing Springs. Then, after teaching school for several years, she married a former student, Allen Cash (’23). They have a son nine years old and live at 105 South Laurel St., Charlotte, N. C. Rev. Lowell P. Barnett is preaching at Union Mills, North Carolina. Alma Frances Belle, a nurse, resides at 828 West End Boulevard, Winston-Salem, N. C. Maggie Cole, Mrs. C. C. Padgett, lives at Lattimore, North Carolina. Mary Oaxie Edwards, is now Mrs. Merrell E. John son, Box 400, Caroleen, North Carolina. Vevette Eliott married Sherman Costner and lives at Shelby, Route 1. Grace McBrayer is teaching in Rutherfordton, North Carolina. Mrs. Charles Elkins (Bertie Cash) lives in Lumber- ton, N. C. Class of 1928 Margaret E. Green married Owen Padgett and lives at Mooresboro. Dr. John Carl Hamrick lives in the Fredrick Apart ments, Shelby, N. C. Thelma Hamrick Jolley married Harlan H. Beason, and lives at Mooresboro. Rev. and Mrs. Watson E. Abrams are at Route 4, Marion, N. C. Class of 1929 A. V. Washburn was graduated from Wake Forest in 1923 and attended the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and Peabody College. For ten years, beginning in 1933 he was Superintendent of Young Peoples Sun day School Board, Southern Baptist Convention, Nash- yille, Tenn. For thirty months he served in the U. S. Navy as Lieutenant (jg). Since 1946 he has been Secre tary of Teaching and Training, Sunday School Depart ment of S. B. C., Nashville, Tenn. A. V. married Kate Allison of Sylva, N. C. in 1933, Kate is a Meredith grad uate of 1923. They have three children: Ann Allison, age 12; James Kent, age 8; and Mary Janet, age one month. Clara Crabtree is now Mrs. W. Gywn Cole, Route 3, Rutherfordton, North Carolina. Class of 1930 Wyman E. Wood was graduated from Wake Forest in 1932; taught at Forest City in 1933 and was married to Flora McDaniel; Pastor and Chaplain until 1942 when he went to the Southern Baptist Seminary at Louisville where he received his B. D. Degree in 1945. Wyman has been pastor of the Brown Memorial Baptist Church, Hickory, N. C., since May 1945. Wyman and Flora have two children; Daniel, born In 1937, and Linda, born in 1941. Class of 1931 Madge Sperling (Mrs. Lloyd Little) lives on the Falls- ton Rd., Shelby, N. C. Vida Price graduated from High School here in 1929 and from the Junior College in 1931. She later studied at Appalachian State and U. N. C. and taught at Hollis. N. C. She married Hugh Hester in 1935. They live on their farm about 1% miles from Hollis and have four children: Milton, age 9; Roger, 6; Ronald, 4; and Linda, 2 months. Hugh is Superintendent of Big Springs Sun day School. Vida writes, “We often speak of Gardner-Webb and are now making plans to send our boys there, if they de cide on a college education—and we hope they will.” We are expecting Linda, too, Vida! Class of 1932 Agnes Gertrude Philbeok lives at Ellenboro, N. C. Hazel Davidson and husband, A. Fi-ank Hamrick, live in Georgia, where Frank is a teacher at Georgia Tech. Selma Dee Davis (Mrs. P. P. Withrow) lives at Shelby, N. C., Route 4. Vernon Kenneth Kiser’s address is 802 W. Marion St., Shelby, N. C. Class of 1933 Harry F. Bean is pastor at Belcross, N. C. Gail Bridges is a teacher at Lattimore, N. C. Hubert Dixon is a Math teacher at Gardner-Webb. Mrs. Dixon is the former Lucille Johnson of Raleigh. Annie Lee Walker works at Efirds’ Store, Shelby. Her address is Lattimore, Star Route, North Carolina. Class of 1934 Ray Cline and wife, Annette Blanton, of Marion, North Carolina, recently announced the birth of a daughter. We would like to know her name and other interesting facts, Ray and Annette. Adolph Atkins is principal of a school Rt. 1, Hunters ville, N. C. Felix Elijah Hamrick is a prominent young merchant (Furniture) at Boiling Springs where he and his fine family are very cooperative in every movement for the good of the community. Lalage Louise Sperling married William Stowe Harrill and lives at Greer, S. C. Robert Spratt is now personnel manager at the Stonecutter Mill, Spindale, N. C. Rowell Lane is principal in Marion, N. C. Ray E. Brown, from the University of Chicago, is to address the Executive Club in Shelby on Feb. 6. Charles Wilson formerly secretary to the Honorable Clyde Hoey, has returned to Shelby, where he will take over the delivery of the mail on Route 5. Class of 1935 Genevieve Rebecca Blanton (Mrs. Marshall Edwards) lives at Lattimore, N. C. Helen Virginia Hamrick’s address is now Mrs. Thomas A. Kerr, 1177 Post Rd, Fairfield, Connecticutt. Margaret Aileen Lee is Mrs. Albert Brown and lives at 15 West Ray St., Rock Hill, S. C. Dorothy Dean Washburn, married G. Shannon Ham rick and resides at Shelby, N. C., Rt. 4, Shannon died
