This Youth Revival Team is a great blessing to the church es as is shown by the fact that ninety-three decisions were made last year. It also emphasizes Christian Education in the Churches and many young people decide to go to our Christian colleges as a result of this emphasis. President El liott often receives letters from the pastors of churches visited by the team, expressing a deep appreciation of the work carried on by the team under the guidance of Miss Starnes. Christianity Vs. Communism By RICHARD PLYLER Today we are faced with two philosophies of life, Christian ity and Communinism. The philosophy of Christianity stand ing for that which is all good, and the philosophy of Commun ism standing for that whic his all bad. Let us see why Christ ianity is the better of the two philosophies. Christianity is a body of believers in Christ Jesus, Redeeem- er and Savious of the world, believing that He died for the sins of man and that His death upon the Cross set man right with God once again. That if man believes upon Jesus as the only Begotten Son of God, he is forgiven of his sins and once again comes into fellowship with God for which he was created Christianity says that each man is important, that each man as an individual has the right to eternal salvation and eternal life through Christ Jesus. Christianity says that each man has the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness upon which our country is founded. Communism on the other hand says that the individual is not important and that all things should go together for the betterment of the state. Communism denies the existance of God and the deity of Jesus Christ. Communism says that man does not have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happi ness, and is not an individual but rather a machine of the state. Communism advocates that democracy and religion can have no part m a communistic state, which is to be governed by a totalitarian dictatorship. In our country today there are people who would advocate and do advocate the overthrow of our own government, and thev want to set up a government under communism with a totalitar- lan state. Communism is fighting our way of life through every means possible that will give their cause headway On the other hand, we have the Christians who are tryins to get people to see the need of God, and to see eternal salva- Page 1 0
