Miss Brenda Moore Reigns
On Saturday, May 4, Gardner-Webb College presented
the annual May Day festival. The theme was “The Diary
of the Haippy Wanderer.” Mr. Robert Lamb, professor at
English and Speech, was narrator. He introduced the
court and told of the adventures of the happy wanderer.
The girls in the May court were dressed in nile green,
Dink, blue, yellow, and lavender. Tihe following were on
the court: Brenda Porter of Winston-Salem was escorted
by Roger Dixon of Clover, S. C.; Betsy Thompson of Stan
ley was escorted by Ronnie Robinson of Belmont: Sandra
Powell, of Inman, S. C., was escorted by Mike Pearson of
Gastonia; Carolyn Bentley of Asheville was escorted by
Richard Duncan, of Pageland, S. C.: Elizabeth Reese of
Monroe was escorted by Wayne Barnwell of Morganton;
Sandra Rideout of Winston-Salem was escorted by David
